VW PASSAT ( 08/06/2003 – 10/06/2003) DEFECT: It has been identified that on some Passat vehicles within the affected Vin range the rear securing bolt of the right hand shock absorber mounting may not have been tightened to the correct torque. The consequence of this being that the securing bolt may break.
Remedy
Recall affected vehicles and replace the subject bolt.
