VW GOLF ( 01/01/1994 – 31/01/1994) DEFECT: As a result of an assembly fault the bolts securing the ball joints on the wishbone may loosen. In extreme cases this could result in loss of steering control.
Remedy
Recall the affected vehicles for a check on the torque of the ball joint mounting nuts/bolts. If any bolt is insufficiently torqued all three mounting bolts will be replaced.
