VOLVO CAR GARMIN NUVI ( – ) DEFECT: Garmin have identified that certain model Nuvi portable navigation products fitted with a specific battery and printed circuit board design can under rare circumstances overheat. This could result in a unit fire.
Remedy
Volvo are assisting Garmin by writing to all owners who may have these units and requesting then to check their unit's serial number against information contained on Garmin's website. If an affected unit is identified then return the unit to Garmin for the replacement of the battery.
