VOLVO CAR 800 SERIES ( 30/01/1994 – 31/12/1994) DEFECT: The jack thrust bearing washer may have a material fault which could allow the vehicle jack to fall when holding the weight of the vehicle.

Remedy
A) Volvo have written to all involved customers advising them as a short term measure not to use the jack originally supplied with the vehicle. B) The original jacks are being replaced with quality assured units as soon as these become available.
