VOLVO CAR 700 SERIES – POSSIBLE CHAFING OF IGNITION LOCK CABLE HARNESS

VOLVO CAR 700 SERIES ( 01/01/1990 –  31/12/1990) DEFECT:  The ignition lock cable harness may become damaged by chafing against the steering column. This could eventually cause a short circuit and possible fire risk.

Remedy

Recall affected vehicles. Reposition the ignition lock cable harness and secure it clear of the steering column with a strip clip.
