VOLVO CAR 700 SERIES – POSSIBILITY OF SHORT CIRCUITING WITH FIRE RISK

VOLVO CAR 700 SERIES ( 01/01/1988 –  31/12/1990) DEFECT:  The battery main cable may chafe against the front cross member. This could result in a short circuit and possible fire risk.

Remedy

Recall the affected vehicles for the fitment of an additional cable clamp which will hold the battery cable clear of the cross member. any cables found to have a chafe condition will be replaced.
