VAUXHALL ASTRA – ENGINE WIRING HARNESS MAY CHAFE ON POWER STEERING PUMP PULLEY

VAUXHALL ASTRA ( 04/09/1992 –  29/01/1993) DEFECT:  The engine wiring harness may chafe on the power steering pump pulley resulting in a possible fire hazard.

Remedy

Recall the affected vehicles and secure the wiring harness with cable ties as per the manufacturers instructions. At the same time the wiring will be checked for damage and where this has occurred it will be rectified as required.
