TOYOTA YARIS ( 19/12/2002 – 01/12/2003) DEFECT: On affected vehicles the drivers front airbag inflator could produce excessive internal pressure. If an affected airbag deploys the increased internal pressure may cause the inflator to rupture. In the event of an inflator rupture metal fragments could be propelled into the passenger compartment potentially causing injury to a vehicle occupant.

Remedy
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace the inflator inside the drivers airbag module with a new one.
