TOYOTA HI LUX ( 06/07/2005 – 15/12/2005) DEFECT: It has been established that when the ambient temperature is cold and the fuel in the fuel tank is low air could be inhaled from the fuel tank vent tube into the fuel filter. This air could then pass into the fuel pump resulting in the vehicle surging or in the worst case the engine stalling.

Remedy
Recalled vehicles will have the fuel tank vent tube replaced.
