TOYOTA AVENSIS ( 29/10/2008 – 10/02/2009) DEFECT: It has been identified that on certain vehicles equipped with a genuine Toyota towing hitch the hitch installation bolts were over-tightened. In the worst case the bolts may break under certain conditions of usage.
Remedy
Recalled vehicles will have the hitch installation bolts replaced and tightened to the correct torque.
