TOYOTA 4RUNNER – STEERING RELAY ROD MAY CRACK

TOYOTA 4RUNNER ( 16/04/1993 –  08/03/1995) DEFECT:  If the steering wheel is repeatedly turned under conditions where high steering effort is required such as when fully turning the steering wheel whilst the vehicle is stationary a fatigue crack may develop in the relay rod. In extreme cases the steering rod may fracture causing a loss of steering control.

Remedy

Recall the likely to be affected vehicles and replace the steering relay rod.
