SEAT IBIZA ( 01/01/1985 – 31/12/1991) DEFECT: The handbrake cable may chafe on the fuel filler pipe causing perforation of the pipe and leakage of fuel.
Remedy
Recall the affected vehicles for repositioning and securing of the handbrake cable to ensure adequate clearance between the cable and the filler pipe. At the same time any filler pipes found to be perforated will be replaced.
