SAAB 9000 ( 01/08/1992 – 30/07/1994) DEFECT: The ECU controlling the airbag and seat belt tensioner functions may be affected by the ingress of moisture. Should corrosion subsequently occur in the printed circuit this could result in malfunction of these systems and in extreme cases cause inadvertent deployment of the airbag or seat belt tensioners.
Remedy
Affected vehicles are being recalled for inspection and replacement where necessary of the airbag/seat belt tensioner control module.
