PORSCHE 911 – CRUISE CONTROL BALL JOINT FAILURE

PORSCHE 911 ( 01/01/1989 –  31/12/1992) DEFECT:  There is a possibility that a ball socket on the cruise control may detach. This could allow the linkage to jam on adjacent components and prevent the accelerator linkage returning to the idle position when the pedal is released.

Remedy

Recall the affected vehicles for replacement of the original cruise control ball sockets with quality assured steel examples.
