PEUGEOT 306 ( 18/03/1998 – 26/03/1998) DEFECT: It has been identified that there is a risk that the rack to subframe bolts have been overtightened with the possibility of the bolts and/or rack mounting points cracking/breaking. This could lead to noise/vibration or loss of steering accuracy.
Remedy
Recall affected vehicles examine the steering rack mounting bolts. Renew the mounting bolts/nuts and replace the steering rack if the mounting points are cracked or broken.
