MITSUBISHI L200 – POSSIBILITY THAT THE BONNET SAFETY HOOK IS DEFECTIVE

MITSUBISHI L200 ( –  ) DEFECT:  The possibility exists that the bonnet safety hook (secondary locking device) is defective. With the result that should the primary lock not be fully engaged the safety hook may also fail due to lift created by the airflow and in the worst case the bonnet may open whilst the vehicle is being driven.

Remedy

Likely to be affected vehicles will be recalled at which time the safety hook bracket will be checked for profile and adjusted if necessary.
