MITSUBISHI GALANT – BRAKING EFFICIENCY MAY BE REDUCED

MITSUBISHI GALANT ( 01/01/1998 –  31/12/1999) DEFECT:  The nipple for the brake booster vacuum hose may become choked due to adhesion and accumulation of combustion products from the engine. This may cause in the worst case reduced braking efficiency after operating the brake pedal several times in a short period.

Remedy

Recall affected vehicles to relocate nipple from intake manifold to resonator to avoid accumulation of combustion products.
