MERCEDES BENZ STEERING COLUMN TUBE BRACKET – STEERING COLUMN WELD NOT TO SPECIFICATION

MERCEDES BENZ STEERING COLUMN TUBE BRACKET ( 01/10/2007 –  31/05/2008) DEFECT:  The bracket mounting the steering column to the body may fail because of inadequate welding on the joint at the tube. This can cause the column to tilt down and limited the degree of steering ability.

Remedy

Recall the replacement steering columns that have been sold and the replacement steering columns that are in stock.
