MERCEDES BENZ S CLASS ( 01/01/1995 – 31/12/1996) DEFECT: There may be insufficient clearance between the front brake hoses and the tyre inner wall. In the long term this could result in damage to the brake hose(s) with a risk of fluid loss.
Remedy
The affected vehicles are being recalled for installation of a spacer to ensure adequate clearance between the front brake hoses and the tyre walls. Any hoses showing signs of previous contact will be changed.
