MERCEDES BENZ M CLASS ( 01/07/2008 – 31/03/2009) DEFECT: Automatic liftgate may open inadvertently due to moisture entry into the control unit from water leaks in the area of the rear lamps.
Remedy
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to reposition the control unit and replace the seals of the right and left rear lamp units.
