MERCEDES BENZ ANTOS ( – ) DEFECT: It is possible that the routing of the frame wiring harness could chaff on a right angle edge at a cable set bracket. This could result in a short circuit which should be identified to the driver by warning lights on the instrument panel before any damage occurs. However the manufacturer is taking steps to prevent any safety issues by recalling the vehicles.
Remedy
Recall all the affected vehicles and replace the cable set bracket plus if required replace any damaged frame wiring harnesses.
