MERCEDES BENZ ACTROS RANGE ( 01/07/2015 – 24/03/2016) DEFECT: It has been identified that the incorrect mounting bracket for the power assisted steering pump may have been installed. This can cause misalignment of the pump and cause wear to the drive mechanism. This could result in the failure of the drive shaft and subsequent loss of power assistance for the steering.
Remedy
Recall all affected vehicles to check the power assisted steering pump bracket and if require replace the bracket pump and drive shaft.
