MERCEDES BENZ 700 SERIES – BRAKE PEDAL MAY BECOME JAMMED

MERCEDES BENZ 700 SERIES ( 01/01/1989 –  31/12/1992) DEFECT:  The heads of the bolts securing the retarder actuating bracket to the brake pedal may contact the retarder microswitch and cause the brake pedal to jam.

Remedy

Recall the affected vehicles for the removal of any protrusion on the retarder switch support bracket and the fitment of the countersunk bolts between the retarder actuating bracket and the brake pedal.
