MAZDA XEDOS ( 01/02/1992 – 31/08/1993) DEFECT: The engine wiring harness may chafe on the anti-lock braking control valve bracket. As a result the wiring may short leading to failure of the ignition or fuel injection system causing the engine to stop without warning.
Remedy
Recall the affected vehicles and install a plastic protector sleeve to the wiring harness in the area of the ABS control valve bracket. Any section of the harness found to be damaged through contact will be repaired prior to sheathing.
