MAZDA MPV ( 04/03/2003 – 30/10/2003) DEFECT: The possibility exists that the power steering oil pump pulley retaining nut may become loose resulting if the vehicle continues to be driven in the pulley becoming detached. In the worst case due to loss of drive to the water pump the engine may seize.
Remedy
Recall likely to be affected vehicles and replace the pulley retaining nut with a modified version which will be "loctited" in place and tightened to an increased torque.
