LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER SPORT ( 14/10/2014 – 02/02/2015) DEFECT: The ground wiring for the air conditioning blower within the cockpit harness may not be to specification. This can lead to the wire getting hot and melting the plastic insulation and associated burning smell. If ignored and the loom gets significantly damaged there is a possibility of fire.
Remedy
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace the earth wire. Where other wiring/insulation is affected necessary repairs will be carried out using the correct repair procedures.
