JAGUAR XF ( 01/04/2015 – 25/02/2016) DEFECT: The under bonnet low pressure fuel feed hose may detach from the fuel filter. A fuel smell may be noticed due to fuel leaking into the engine bay and in the event of hose detachment the engine will cut out. Once the engine has cut out the brake vacuum reservoir will be depleted after 2-3 brake pedal depressions and the vehicle will lose brake power assistance however foundation brakes continue to operate. The engine cannot be re-started. Engine cut out with minimal warning could potentially cause a crash.

Remedy
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and add a spring wire retention clip to the low pressure fuel feed hose joint.
