INFINITI Q70 ( 31/01/2013 – 03/07/2014) DEFECT: It has been identified that due to a software error the traction motor inverter may incorrectly diagnose communication between the inverter and the transmission control module (TCM). This can cause the inverter system to suddenly shut down. If the vehicle is being driven in Electric Vehicle (EV i.e. engine off) the power to the electric motor may be cut resulting in the vehicle coming to a sudden stop.
Remedy
Recall all affected vehicles to install new software for the traction motor inverter control module.
