HONDA CIVIC ( – 04/12/2000) DEFECT: The screw clips on the filler tube connecting the fuel filler pipe to the fuel tank may not be correctly installed. The tube may not therefore be securely fixed to the tank and/or pipe. This could permit fuel to leak from the tank in the event of a severe rear end impact.

Remedy
Affected vehicles are being recalled to check for correct installation of the fuel filler tube clips. Any clip not properly installed will be retorqued correctly.
