HONDA CIVIC ( 27/11/2000 – 24/04/2001) DEFECT: There is a possibility that the brake pedal lock pin which ensures a positive connection of the brake pedal to the braking system may be incorrectly installed. In such cases it is possible that excessive free play in the brake pedal can occur leading to incorrect brake pedal operation. The clutch may also be similarly affected.

Remedy
Recall affected vehicles to check for correct installation of the lock pins. If either lock pin is not correctly installed the pin will be re-installed correctly.
