HONDA CIVIC ( 14/12/2005 – 23/10/2006) DEFECT: It is possible that a diode within the DC converter of the Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) system became damaged during initial testing. Over time the diode could deteriorate and eventually fail causing a short circuit within the IMA system which results in the 100amp fuse blowing. A melted fuse will result in the engine stalling and the engine cannot be restarted. There will not be any noticeable symptoms prior to the engine stalling.

Remedy
The dealer will replace the DC converter with a new one.
