FORD TRANSIT – TOW BAR MAY FAIL

FORD TRANSIT ( 13/11/2012 –  11/05/2015) DEFECT:  A non approved tow bar was fitted during manufacture. The rating of the fitted towbar is below the vehicles approved gross train mass (GTM) and could fail if the vehicle is loaded to it’s maximum GTM.

Remedy

On affected vehicles Replace tow bar with an approved towbar of the correct rating.
