FORD TRANSIT – FRONT SUSPENSION BALL JOINT CIRCLIP

FORD TRANSIT ( 03/01/2000 –  19/08/2001) DEFECT:  Under conditions of excessively rough use such as driving over kerbs etc the front suspension ball joint taper pin may become loose in the suspension upright. If this occurs the secondary retaining circlip may be ineffective in preventing the complete detachment of the suspension upright from the track control arm.

Remedy

Replace the existing circlip with an improved design part.
