FORD MAVERICK – THROTTLE MAY STICK IN THE FULLY OPEN POSITION

FORD MAVERICK ( –  ) DEFECT:  On affected vehicles there may be inadequate clearance between the engine cover and the speed control cable which could cause the throttle to stick when the accelerator pedal is fully or almost fully depressed.

Remedy

The engine cover will be modified as detailed in the associated service instructions and a revised rear stud and grommet assembly installed to raise the cover to provide additional clearance.
