FORD ESCORT ( 01/07/1990 – 31/03/1991) DEFECT: The welds securing the front towing eye to its mounting bracket are not to specification and can result in detachment of the eye when the vehicle is under tow.
Remedy
Recall the affected vehicles for inspection of the welds which secure the front towing eye. Where these are not to specification the welds will be reworked as per the manufacturers instructions.
