FORD COUGAR ( 06/12/1997 – 31/08/1998) DEFECT: Affected vehicles have brass terminal (instead of bronze) in the brake lamp switch jumper harness. This could lead to malfunction of the brake lamp switch.
Remedy
Brake lamp switch jumper harness to be replaced on all affected vehicles brake lamp switch to be inspected for heat damage and replaced if necessary.
