FORD CONNECT – SIDE AIRBAG WIRING ISSUE

FORD CONNECT ( 23/02/2004 –  12/11/2004) DEFECT:  The wiring for the side airbags within the electrical connector for the control module is reversed. In the event of an impact which triggered the side airbag system the incorrect side would be deployed.

Remedy

Subject vehicles to be recalled at which time the wiring fault will be corrected by establishing the terminals to their correct location within the connector.
