FIAT TEMPRA ( 01/01/1993 – 31/12/1996) DEFECT: The anti noise plastic shields fitted to the bottom of the front suspension coil springs may permit the accumulation of a high level of humidity under certain environmental conditions. When combined with the presence of salt and small stones etc. this condition may cause breakage of the spring(s) and subsequent tearing of the tyre as a result of the fractured coils contacting the tyre wall.
Remedy
Affected vehicles are being recalled for the fitment of a modified ventilated spring sheath and inspection of the front coil springs.
