FIAT MAREA ( 31/12/1996 – 30/06/1997) DEFECT: On certain vehicles it is possible that the power steering high pressure hose may contact the offside front rigid brake pipe. This could result in damage to the brake pipe with a resultant reduction in braking efficiency.
Remedy
Affected vehicles are being recalled for a check on the positioning of the pipes involved and adjustment of the pipe clearance where necessary.
