FIAT GRANDE PUNTO ( 01/06/2006 – 31/07/2006) DEFECT: Incorrect profile (flaring) of the end of the steering shaft at the upper steering column universal joint. This may give the possibility of the steering column becoming disconnected from the universal joint with a consequent loss of vehicle steering.
Remedy
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to inspect the profile and flaring of the end of the steering shaft at the upper universal joint and where necessary renew the shaft.
