CITROEN ZX – 1)SEAT BELT BUCKLE MAY JAM FOLLOWING NORMAL OPERATION OF PRETENSIONER 2)INVOLUNTARY OPERATION OF DRIVERS AIR BAG

CITROEN ZX ( 01/11/1994 –  31/03/1995) DEFECT:  1) The seat belt may jam following normal operation of the seat belt pretensioners in an accident. 2) The drivers airbag may deploy involuntarily.

Remedy

Recall the affected vehicles and:- 1) Replace the original seat belt buckle and its associated pretensioner control by new Autoliv components. 2) Upgrade the drivers airbag to the latest specification.
