CHRYSLER VOYAGER ( 01/01/1997 – 31/12/2000) DEFECT: The parking brake lever cable is too long which may cause the locking mechanism to extend beyond the last tooth of the sector when the park brake is engaged. This condition may cause the parking brake to self-release.

Remedy
Recall affected vehicles and replace parking brake cable with shorter cable. Additionally as part of the above recall the repair contained in Daimler-Chrysler Technical Service Bulletin 05i-801-99 relating to parking brake imbalance will be carried out on affected vehicles.
