CHRYSLER VIPER ( 1/1/1996 – 31/12/1999) DEFECT: Cracking and separation of the steering rack cross member and/or the differential mounting bracket may lead to loss of vehicle control in extreme cases.
Remedy
Recall vehicles and inspect for cracks. If cracks are evident parts will be replaced. In all cases reinforcement brackets will be installed.
