CHRYSLER UK LTD GRAND VOYAGER – AIRBAG MAY DEPLOY INADVERTENTLY

CHRYSLER UK LTD GRAND VOYAGER ( 01/01/2008 –  31/12/2008) DEFECT:  The Occupant Restraint Control (ORC) module may become contaminated by water leaking from the Heating venting & Air Conditioning (HVAC) drain grommet. This may lead to the illumination of the airbag warning light and the potential for an inadvertent airbag deployment without warning.

Remedy

The repair is to replace the OCR module in addition to having the HVAC tube and grommet replaced
