CHRYSLER DODGE AVENGER ( – ) DEFECT: It has been identified that engine coolant might be drawn into the left side cooling fan motor connector. Should this occur an electrical short circuit will arise which may result in a fire within the engine compartment.

Remedy
Recalled vehicles will have a left side radiator cooling fan motor wire overlay installed. Additionally the left side cooling fan motor connector will be inspected for damage. Vehicles found with a damaged radiator cooling fan motor connector will have the fan motor replaced.
