CHEVROLET UK NUBIRA ( – ) DEFECT: The brake light switch may become maladjusted if an upward force is inadvertently applied to the brake pedal. This may cause the brake lights to remain illuminated without the brake being applied. If ignored this condition may result in the vehicle being driven with the brake lights permanently illuminated. Also if affected the brake lights may remain illuminated with the vehicle ignition switched off which may result in a discharged battery.
Remedy
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and fit a modified brake lamp switch.
