cadillac CORVETTE UK Recall

CADILLAC CORVETTE – POSSIBLITY THAT THE BRAKE PIPES MAY BE AFFECTED BY HEAT

CADILLAC CORVETTE ( 01/02/2004 –  01/02/2005) DEFECT:  Some of the metal brake pipes are placed so that they could be affected by heat or they could be in a position where chafing could take place. If the above circumstances occur they could lead to in extreme circumstances and over a period of time either loss of brake fluid or air in the braking system. These conditions will lead to a reduction in the performance of the rear brakes.

Remedy

Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected for inspection. If neccessary re-route replace the brake pipes. On some vehicles a machining tab on the rear differential may need to be removed to allow adequate clearance for the metal brake pipes.
